The award winning Stane Street Players

We are delighted to announce that we have been nominated by the North Essex Theatre Guild for 15 awards across our last three productions.

The nominations are:

THE MCKAY AWARD for PROPS & SET DRESSING: Stane Street Players: Around the World in 80 Days (with commendation to Sharon Wood for the elephant)
THE TERRY SADLER MEMORIAL CUP for FRONT OF HOUSE: Stane Street Players: Around the World in 80 Days
THE DEBBIE MILLAR SCHOOL OF DANCE AWARD for CHOREOGRAPHY/DANCING: Stane Street Players: Anna James for choreography in Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves
THE LEXDEN PARISH PLAYERS SHIELD for BEST COSTUME: Stane Street Players: Around the World in 80 Days
THE NORMAN HARRIS ADJUDICATORS’ TROPHY: Stane Street Players: the cast for playing a wide variety of different characters in Around the World in 80 days.
Stane Street Players: Aaron Andrews & Tom Jervis for their comedy playing in Cash on Delivery
THE ALAN MEEKINGS AWARD for BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR: Stane Street Players: Christopher Suckling as Insp Fix in Around the World
THE DAVID KNIGHT SHIELD for BEST ACTOR:Stane Street Players: Duncan McCubbine as Phileas Fogg & Nick Mason as Passepartout in Around the World in 80 Days (joint nomination)
Stane Street Players: Ben Blackborow as Mr. Jenkins in Cash on Delivery
THE GILL BAXTER MEMORIAL AWARD for BEST ACTRESS: Stane Street Players: Lesley Shaw as Mrs. Aouda in Around the World in 80 Days
THE CLIFF HUDSON AWARD for COMEDY (PRODUCTION):Stane Street Players: Around the World in 80 Days directed by John Sanders

 

The awards will be announced on 8th September at the gala award ceremony in Clacton – keep your fingers crossed for us!
