It’s behind us!

Well, that’s another show over! Robinson Crusoe & the Pirates by Paul Reakes has been our most successful show to date, playing to over 1200 local residents, not including the 100+ at our charity preview/dress rehearsal. An excellent script, delivered by an excellent cast and supported by a great crew back stage and front of house. To give you an idea of what is involved in our annual pantomime here are some facts about this show…
We had 30 rehearsals before you got to see it.
There were 13 people in the cast, 17 in the chorus and at least 11 in the production/support team. Plus around another 8 or 10 people involved in front of house and helping in the dressing rooms on show nights.
The 13 members of the cast have to learn (between them) 760 speeches, 12 songs, and at least 9 dances.
There are around 100 different costumes to be hired or made. Almost 50 sound cues and 20 lighting changes 12 changes of scenery And finally over 100 props to find or make!! Our next show, in May,  will be Our Man in Havana by Grahame Greene, adapted by Clive Francis  – see you there, but in the meantime it’s goodbye from the cast and crew of Robinson Crusoe & the Pirates!
